Stay the course.
Over the past decades, we have seen the development of knowledge, tools, expertise, forecasting capabilities, and a considerable and exciting number of solutions enabling the sustainable development of humanity.
These advances are very real. We have also found that the results fall short of what is expected, what we hoped for, and what is necessary. We have also seen, in recent years, certain adjustments intended to enable our economy to get into gear and give it the time needed to align with the necessary climate and ecological ambition, in an unstable global context.
Amarenco is part of the second wave of companies covered by the CSRD. Since the adoption of the Omnibus package, we are therefore, at present, no longer subject to a reporting obligation. We are also a mid-sized company in the renewable energy sector, already making a tangible contribution to the fight against climate change by producing decarbonised energy. We are subject to strict environmental requirements in the selection of our sites, as well as development obligations designed to encourage dialogue and value-sharing with our local stakeholders.
We could have been content with that. Take note of the easing of obligations. Consider that the already considerable effort to provide an effective solution to climate change was sufficient.
But we have chosen to stay the course with strong commitments, those that give meaning to our work and to the electricity we produce. Commitments that generate positive and tangible results for our stakeholders as well as for generations to come.
We continued to roll out an ambitious portfolio of storage plants, essential to supporting the decarbonisation of energy in Europe. We also continued to implement our ECHO programme for ecosystem regeneration at our new plants.
Despite the absence of a legal obligation, we publish an annual Sustainability Report. In 2025, we also carried out a double materiality analysis in accordance with the CSRD requirements. We do not consider it a mere box-ticking exercise, but a genuine strategic decision-support tool.
We submitted our commitments to SBTi, making Amarenco one of the first companies exclusively dedicated to renewable energy to commit to this process in Europe.
And many other initiatives, which we are pleased to share with you in this report. I hope it will be a genuine tool for dialogue, transparency and co-creation of value.
